Sony’s official blog, SGNL are at CES, and like us are waiting for the press conference to start (1am GMT), meanwhile they’ve got a sneak peak at the Sony Xperia Ion, that’s right, the first post-Sony Ericsson Phone, let’s take a look…

So, details:

It’s the first LTE (4G) smartphone from the Xperia range,
Exclusive to AT&T (Stateside)
Released Q2
720p Mobile Bravia Screen
Twin HD cameras (1080p back, 720p front) with Exmor R technology
HDMI Port
12MP rear camera
PlayStation Certified
Cross platform gaming (with Sony Tablet)
Android Gingerbread, upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich
16GB internal memory + MicroSD
Bravia Sync

I really do like the look of the Xperia Z. I'm a Galaxy man at the moment but something like that could really sway me. Plus it would be fun to just pour water on it and watch people react. The tablet Z is looking pretty good too. Would be a bit of a toss up between that and the Nexus 10 for me but I like the unity between the two Z devices. Great write up. (also, small typo; first word of second para of Sony Smarthphone Experience :) )

I really like this feature, I think its a great idea well executed. I've spent the last week or two playing through Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. I knew I had AC unplayed from plus and when I spotted AA on the store for £7 I couldn't pass up the opportunity to play the pair of them properly. I really enjoyed Asylum despite one or two odd difficulty spikes and would like to finish it off for the Platinum but those challenges are bloody hard! I found AC really hard to get into, I think it was odd being so much more open and free than the first game but after a few hours I got into the swing of things and really began to enjoy it. I polished off the main story today and was shocked, and a little emotional, at the end. Both were fantastic games though that I'm glad to say I've played and enjoyed.
